Where’s El Gouna and what can we do there?

Before planning a trip there, I’d reasonably ask myself a couple of questions: Where’s El Gouna and what can we do there? Well, here’s the answer in a nutshell.

First, El Gouna is located in Egypt, by the outstanding Red Sea. It is one of the most popular and diverting seaside resorts on the coast of the Red Sea, as a matter of fact. But it’s more than a place to bask in the sea and the sand. It is an old realm, where traces of the old Roman rule and the Christian medieval era are still visible.

Among the greatest destination by the Red Sea, you can visit St. Anthony’s Monastery, the oldest monastery in the world. The Saint is widely regarded as the father of monasticism, so his devotees built a monastery to cherish his name.

The Marina Boulevard in El Gouna is the best promenade in town. The boulevard is lined up with the best bars and restaurants in town, from which you can admire the yachts docked gently swaying on the soft waves.

In Europe, Spain and Portugal are widely regarded as some of the best golf destinations. Similarly, in Africa, Egypt is a top golf destination. And the best destination in Egypt is El Gouna.

I’ve always loved horseback riding and if you do too, it seems El Gouna is a lovely spot for this. You can ride a horse down the seashore at a gentle canter or slow walk for a low price.

Kitesurfing is not without its dangers, but if you are a sporty nature and a good swimming, you can try this or diving. Actually, the resort is regarded as one of the best places for diving and snorkeling.

And if you want to get a tour around the region, you can book some transfers Hurghada airport El Gouna.
