Trips and books – Part 2

Trips and books

Dear friends, I am back with more inspiration, ready to start my story about Trips and books from where I left it last time.

So here we are, back with that top best novels to read while traveling. And the list continues with…

4. Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert has a quite self-explanatory title. This is a witty, funny and rapturous partly autobiographical book. Italy, India and Indonesia are the places the heroine travels to in search of answers and in search of herself.

5. I am sure you’ve seen that movie with Brad Pitt called Seven Years in Tibet. The movie is based on a book by hero Heinrich Harrer, the Austrian traveler and mountain climber who finds himself in the Forbidden City of Lhasa to become the teacher and friend of the last Dalai Lama. This is a beautiful book that will transport you to an exotic realm of tradition.

6. J. R. R. Tolkien and his Middle-Earth universe could not be absent from this list. Bilbo Baggins embarks on his first adventure in The Hobbit, a prequel to the famous “Lord of the Rings” franchise. The cute and funny hobbits are always fun travel companions. You can join them as well as you travel to your own, more realistic adventures.

7. And if you are interested in another kind of traveling – time traveling – the options are ample there as well. Kerstin Gier’s Precious Stones Trilogy follows Gwyneth Shepherd as she seeks love and adventure fluctuating between the past and the present-day England. It is a teen book that can be read by anyone.

Does the destination matter? Only sometimes. The trick is to enjoy the journey and both trips and books offer that unique experience. Other travel tips? Ride in style, but for accessible prices and read your favorite books from the backseat of a low cost airport transfer car!
