Top 10 inventions you never knew existed – Part 3

Top 10 inventions you never knew existed is back with more craziness.

We mentioned cars last time, but we do feel there is just so much more that can be said about the most amazingly, gloriously useless and weird innovations brought to the automotive industry along its past decades of existence.

6. We are well aware that there is nothing weird about car lovers to also be animal lovers. But the logistics of carrying a very large dog inside the car might have been problematic at first, especially in a small or stuffy car, so in the 1930s an invention appeared that might have saved the day: the dog sack! This consisted of a textile bag fastened to the outer wing of the car. Predictably enough, the dog would be placed there, presumably so that the dog would benefit from the fresh air and the driver and passenger would not be hindered by the presence of another passenger. Thankfully, this creation did not make it to mass production.

Today, car rental companies can provide the perfect car for you or a  private transfer, but you will probably not find a bag for dogs!

5. If last time we talked about the ping pong door, in case you were already thinking of acquiring one for your home or office, think about the football chair as well! What is a football chair? A quite regular chair… apart from the bit where you can play football seated, because it is fit with a net to catch the net behind the actual chair. Needless to say, you will need  to buy a pair of such chairs, unless you want to score against yourself.

4. Back to animal lovers we are, ready to present the dogbrella, an umbrella fastened on the lower end of the leash, functioning as an umbrella above the dog’s head. Actually, to me this qualifies as a quite cute invention!
