In terms of television series and tivo-able entertainment, there are quite a lot of shows that have so far sparked our interest throughout the current year. But there are also some that are highly anticipated in 2019, the coming year promising the return of Game Of Thrones, Big Little Lies and Peaky Blinders.
So what are we up to now and exactly what can we see new in the coming months? Here are some ideas that can make a day off in front of your TV set super fun and amazingly fulfilling… from the quality TV point of view.
Recently, we have been treated to several new series. The Sky production A Discovery of Witches, a TV series after the book trilogy written by Deborah Harkness has just issued its third episode and it’s looking great for the fans of the fantasy and mystery genre. It features a mysterious story revolving around Diana, a witch who represses her powers, and the adventures she shares with Matthew Clermont, a charming vampire. Definitely an ongoing series you can put on your list.
Netflix has just started airing the first series of a new show: The Good Cop, starring none other than Josh Groban, the fun tenor who can apparently act as well. It remains to be seen if this show stays on the broadcaster’s list to be renewed for another season.
Meanwhile, there is still a bit of time to wait until we can enjoy our favorite show, the international sensation that has kept us on the edge of our seats Game of Thrones. HBO have been rather cryptic, refraining from mentioning much apart from the fact that the 8th and last season will start airing “some time in the first half of 2019”. We are surely all waiting for the day!
