The most anticipated TV series this season

What do people talk about when they meet? Mostly about mundane events and about things they’ve seen – in their life experience, but mostly at home, on TV (or, to be more in line with the present trends, on the Internet). The most anticipated TV series this season are on everybody’s lips. So why not take a minute to see what the world is watching these days?

The 6th season of the bestseller HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones has just started. Since the gripping season finale last year, everybody has been sitting on the edge of their seats, waiting to see if Jon Snow is actually truly dead.

A very anticipated return of Hugh Laurie (whom everybody has come to know as Dr. House) on the small screen is the crime miniseries The Night Manager. The story follows the story of a night manager recruited by the intelligence services to infiltrate the criminal world of arms dealers. The series premiered in February 2016.

This June, Orange is the New Black returns with a new (4th) season following the prison life (mis-)adventures of Piper Chapman. The dark comedy will grip you and introduce you to new characters and stories about the female convicts.

If you appreciate British actor Tom Hardy’s performance, you will enjoy his new period drama, Taboo, where he plays adventurer James Delaney who returns to England determined to create his personal shipping empire.

Starz original series Outlander has also returned with an exciting second season. We follow Claire’s new time-traveling adventures, as she hesitates between her quiet 20th-century life as a nurse and the wife of a historian and life in 18th-century Scotland, where she accidentally lands to meet the love of her life, the roguish Jamie. This last recommendation comes with a compulsory reading suggestion: Diana Gabaldon’s book series are a must for every romantic girl.
