The most anticipated movies of 2016

Dear movie lovers, the wait is over: the new year is here with new expectations – not to mention the Oscars, the long-anticipated 88th Academy Awards, are scheduled to take place in Hollywood this February 28th. Meanwhile, you might be interested in the most anticipated movies of 2016.

5. The Lobster is a bizarre and deep mildly sci-fi comedy that just might stem some discussions. Director Yorgos Lanthimos casts a distraught Colin Farrell in a movie that presents a universe where being single is a criminal offense that is punished by genetic measures. Join him in his final quest to find a partner, as he bumps into love and adventure.

4. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them marks the screenwriting debut of the author of the famous “Harry Potter” series, J.K. Rowling. The movie is set in the same magical universe as the HP franchise, but it detaches from the storyline in an exciting sequel.

3. Kung Fu Panda 3 is the perfect family movie. Equally enjoyable among children and adults with a sense of humour, this lively light movie will follow the lovely Po as he meets his long-lost father. The wait is almost over, as the film is scheduled to be released on January 29th.

2. At the end of April 2016, you really should get your superhero costume out of the closet, because the new movie in the series is here: Captain America: Civil War will introduce you into the Marvel Comics universe in a gripping action movie. Scarlett Johanson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., along with Paul Bettany and Jeremy Renner will again feature in this anticipated movie.

1. Warcraft started off as a game. But who says gamers aren’t moviegoers as well? They appear to be interested in this much promoted film that will follow orcs and humans in their unforgettable encounter.
