Green line – FLORENCE – PISA – GENOA tour

Green line - FLORENCE - PISA - GENOA tour

The fifth day of our tour finds us still in Italy, ready to embark in a cultural journey through time in Florence, the cradle of the Italian Renaissance. There is art everywhere you look, but we’ll begin our exploration in the Piazzale Michelangelo, an excellent place for a panoramic view over the red roofs of the city that harbors some of humanity’s finest art (sculptures, paintings and architecture).

Did you know Florence is famous for its leather work? You can sample this traditional craft and even purchase a few items in a Florentine shop before preparing for a guided walk around Florence. Highlights include the remarkable Ponte Vecchio over the river Arno, the Campanile Tower and the Piazza del Duomo. The greatest museum in town is the Uffizi Gallery, home to the greatest art collection in Florence. After the walking tour, you’ll have some free time to visit it, go shopping or enjoy a coffee or some gelato in one of the taverns that line the promenade.

Our next exciting destination is Pisa. It is vital that you don’t forget to charge the batteries of your camera or phone, because you’ll surely want to take a picture by the notorious Leaning Tower in the Square of Miracles which dominates the city.

Overnight, we’ll be staying in Genoa, San Remo or in another city nearby. The hotels we use are selected to provide our customers with a comfortable stay. All are three-star, with continental breakfast included. Hotel details are provided 24 hours before check-in date (including pre/post and overnight tour hotels). Most used are Idea Hotel Plus Savona and Idea Hotel Plus Genova San Biagio but you may be accommodated in a different but equal three-star hotel in the city or a city nearby.
