Going to Hollywood! – Part 1
Ok, so not quite everybody gets this chance in their lifetimes, but still, getting to L.A., if only just for a few days, is a dream for every person, even for Americans; so it’s worth keeping dreaming that one day we can say: I’m going to Hollywood!
Though in later years Hollywood has become more of a symbol and a concept than a real place, well we must not forget that it is indeed a place – a village, if you want, or if you are to trust those who live there. It lies at the heart of Los Angeles, which in turn is the heart of the American film making industry.
Los Angeles, California is one of the most fascinating and culturally diverse cities in the USA, a cluster of cultural diversity and a great place to be creative and unique. Even if you are not in L.A. to make a movie and just to visit, you will find that the air is so full of dreams and amazingly colorful shops, museums and film sets fill the place. It is the perfect place to go if you want to escape reality.
So what exactly can you visit there? Let’s see a few ideas…
The Universal Hollywood Studios: What visit to L.A. could possibly be a true American Dream trip without a stroll around the great studios where dreams are made and spread all over the world? In the Universal Studios Theme Park, you can get a guided tour through the working studio – where you will actually get to see all the mechanisms and secrets of filming and film making – and learn a lot about the movie industry overall.
Can you move freely around Hollywood and L.A.? Well, of course! But if you are having any doubts about public transport, you can use a GPS and a Los Angeles rental car.
And next time we will travel more through town…
