Algarve, a great place to spend this August

As a seasoned traveler, I get this question a lot: what is the best place to visit? When is the best time of the year to go to a certain place? To give an answer to such question is no easy deal. But if there is one option that springs to mind every time, that would be the sunny and happy Algarve, a great place to spend this August.

The last month of summer is swiftly approaching, but you are still on time to book the trip of a lifetime. Here are a few of the reasons why you really should put Portugal and the Algarve on your travel map:

The Algarve, the Southern side of Portugal, is known as the seaside part of the country. It is one of the most welcoming and historically intercultural places in Europe. You will instantly feel at home and the fresh and crisp breeze coming from the Atlantic Ocean perfectly combines with the mild and warm air to make for a perfect atmosphere.

The Algarve is a great place to practice a very relaxing and fascinating sport: golf. In fact, Portugal is probably the top golfing destination in Europe. And there is a whole industry revolving around this sport, with Portugal golf transfers and Faro golf transfer options to take you to all the resorts where you can practice golf.

The Algarve offers some of the coolest medieval fairs and festivals in Europe and they all take place in August. The Silves Medieval Fair is already a consecrated event. The festival is scheduled for August 10 to 19 2018. Knights and ladies, minstrels and princes are going to be crowding the streets of the old town center in a most scenic event. Then there is the Castro Marim Medieval Festival, the latter being scheduled for August 22nd to 26th of this year.
